Special Topics in Signals and Systems Course

Program Overview

The Special Topics in Signals and Systems course explores advanced concepts in signals and systems, covering areas such as communications, image processing, and optimization. Available only to pre-approved MSOL students, the course offers lectures, discussions, and outside study, with the option of letter or S/U grading. Students may repeat the course with different topics for credit.

• The Special Topics in Signals and Systems course covers various aspects of signals and systems, including communications, control, image processing, information theory, multimedia, computer networking, optimization, speech processing, telecommunications, and VLSI signal processing.
• The course is available only to students pre-approved by the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science (HSSEAS) Master of Science in Engineering Online (MSOL) program.
• The course consists of lectures, discussions, and outside study.
• The course may be repeated for credit with a change in topic.
• Students can receive either a letter grade or a S/U grade.
