Understanding the Story: Script Analysis for Directors Course

Program Overview

This workshop teaches directors how to read and interpret a script in depth, focus their creativity on the cinematic opportunities of storytelling, and organize and communicate their ideas clearly and effectively to their actors and crew. Through examples at various stages of production, practical exercises and scene work, participants will discover the power of script analysis to unlock their creativity and develop a thorough grasp of the material they are directing.
