Big Ideas Workshop: Crafting your TED-style Talk, your Next Design Pitch, or Stage Presentation Course
Program Overview
This 5-session workshop, led by TEDxUCLA coach Greg Germann, guides participants in developing and refining a TED-style talk. Through the process of building a presentation, participants enhance their presentation literacy, learn to engage audiences, and articulate their "Big Idea." The workshop culminates in a 5-12 minute talk that crystallizes and articulates the participant's "Big Idea."
Program Outline
Outline:
This 5-meeting workshop will use the process of building a Ted-style talk to refine presentation literacy, enhancing everything from a design presentation to a ‘Big Idea’ that could change the world. Prior to the first class, students will submit an existing or early-stage talk or presentation idea to the first class meeting, working toward a 5 to 12-minute talk/presentation that crystalizes and articulates their ‘Big Idea’. Learn to engage your audience, ignite curiosity, overturn our expectations, and provoke the unexpected response in the service of a call to action.
