Participants will learn to identify suitable calls, craft cover letters, and prepare their manuscripts for submission. Through workshops and real-time submissions, they will gain practical experience and strategies for successful publication.

Participants in this workshop will gain understanding and practice for the literary journal submission process. Activities will include identifying personal publication goals, finding open calls that best fit your creative work, writing cover letters, and building submission trackers. Participants will have an opportunity to workshop a small packet of poems or flash pieces, or an essay or story under 4000 words in order to ready a manuscript for submission. The final session will be saved for submitting in real time and strategizing for the future.
Teaching:
The course is taught by an experienced instructor who will provide guidance and support throughout the program. The instructor will also lead the workshop sessions and provide feedback on student work.
