- The Bachelor of Midwifery program is a full-time, 3-year degree offered by Griffith University's Logan campus.
- The program blends online learning with one-two-week intensive block on campus each trimester.
- Students will also take part in extensive clinical placements and regular clinical tutorials supported by a Practice Lecturer.
- Students will learn in midwifery laboratories that simulate the clinical environment and undertake midwifery clinical experience through professional practice placements in allocated health services involving morning, evening and night shifts.
- Students will follow 20 women throughout their pregnancy, birth and the period six weeks after birth, requiring them to be on-call to attend the labour and birth.
- Honours is available through an additional year of study.
Teaching:
- You will learn from expert midwives in this degree that blends online learning with one-two-week intensive block on campus each trimester.
- You will also take part in extensive clinical placements and regular clinical tutorials supported by a Practice Lecturer.
- The locations and dates over which the courses will run will be published trimester-by-trimester and sent to students prior to each trimester. It is expected that if you enrol in these courses you will be available to attend.

Language Proficiency Requirements:
- Language requirements apply to applicants whose previous studies were completed in a country other than Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or the United States of America or undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:
- Successful completion of at least six years of primary and secondary education taught and assessed solely in English. At least two years of this education must have been between Grades 7 and 12. This education must have been taught and assessed in English and completed in one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom, United Sates of America. OR
- a minimum overall band score of 7.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 7.0 OR
- an overall score of 65 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with no score less than 65 OR
- the Occupational English Test (OET) with a minimum score of B in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking) OR
- an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL minimum total score of 94 and the following minimum scores in each section of the test: 24 for listening | 24 for reading | 27 for writing | 23 for speaking.
