Program Overview


This 14-week part-time course explores the many layers of diversity in Canadian society, including origins of differences, societal attitudes, government policies, and the media's role in perpetuating stereotypes. Students will examine their own attitudes and assumptions towards diverse population groups and develop an understanding of core terminology like privilege, cultural competence, and cultural safety.
