This 14-week ironworking program prepares students to work as ironworkers in the reinforcing field. Through hands-on training and expert instruction, students learn to place and secure rebar, cut and sort materials, and site bend rebar. Graduates are qualified for employment in construction, manufacturing, and transportation industries.

  • The program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to work as ironworkers in the reinforcing field.
  • Students will learn how to place and secure rebar in form work, carry, cut, sort, and site bend rebar and other materials used in reinforcing various concrete structures.
  • The program is delivered in person and consists of two levels, each of which is seven weeks in length.
  • Level 1 covers the basics of ironworking, while Level 2 focuses on more advanced topics.

  • Ironworker - Reinforcing Apprentice Level 1 Final Grade - Harmonized Trade (14.0 credits)

Assessment:

  • The minimum passing grade for the program is 70 percent.
