The Graduate Certificate in Leadership in English Language Acquisition & Development (LELAD) prepares educators to advocate for the needs of English language learners (ELs) in PK-12 settings. Through hybrid courses, students develop specialized knowledge in working with ELs, including theory and practice, methods and curriculum, assessment and evaluation, and cultural and linguistic diversity. The program culminates in a practicum and seminar that focus on policies, critical issues, and best practices for EL education.
