The dual Master of Science in Management Information Systems and Master of Science in Hotel Administration (MS HOA/MS MIS) degree is designed for those who seek career opportunities in the technology sector of the hospitality industry. The 48-credit dual degree is offered jointly by between the UNLV College of Business and the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. The program provides students with the needed skills, knowledge, and tools to become visionary leaders in the application of advanced information technology practices to the hospitality industry. The 24-credit core MIS program is designed to advance the student’s knowledge and practice of information technology. The 24-credit M.S. in Hotel Administration provides the student with a concentration in the hospitality field. The dual MIS/MS-HOA program also takes advantage of the natural learning environment found in Las Vegas — the gaming and entertainment capital of the world. Graduates of the program will receive dual degrees: an MS/MIS and a M.S. in Hotel Administration. Students should expect that the dual MIS/HOA degree program will take approximately three years (six semesters) to complete.
