Program Overview


The Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) certificate program provides foundational knowledge and skills in drafting, AutoCAD, and various engineering disciplines. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of architecture, mechanical and civil engineering, and topographical drawing. Upon completion, graduates are eligible for ASET membership and employment opportunities in consulting, surveying, and government sectors.

Degree Overview:

The Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) certificate program is a multi-disciplinary program focusing on the core disciplines of the built environment:

  • mechanical engineering technology,
  • civil engineering technology, and
  • building design technology.

Objectives:

The program aims to provide students with:

  • foundational theories and concepts in drafting,
  • skills in AutoCAD, mathematics, topography, architecture, physical sciences,
  • technical and artistic skills

Program Description:

Students will gain a basic understanding of:

  • architecture,
  • computers,
  • mechanical and
  • topographical drawing and design.
  • Students may also choose to complete a second year in the Built Environment Engineering Technology diploma program.
