Program Overview

The Creativity and Innovation graduate certificate program equips professionals with the knowledge and skills to understand and foster creativity and innovation in various settings. Through required and elective courses, participants explore major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and empirical findings in the field. The program culminates in a graduate certificate project, demonstrating the application of theory to evaluate and promote creativity and innovation.

• Overview: The Creativity and Innovation graduate certificate program provides professionals with the knowledge and skills to assess major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and empirical findings in creativity and innovation.
Participants apply theory to evaluate and foster creativity and innovation processes within various settings and interdisciplinary contexts.
• Objectives:
• Describe and critically assess the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and empirical findings in creativity and innovation.
• Apply theory and findings to evaluate and foster creativity and innovation in various settings.
• Discuss research on creativity and innovation interdisciplinarily and examine them systemically and dynamically.
• Program Description:
• To obtain the certificate, students must complete 18 credit hours of coursework with a GPA of 3.0 or better and a B- or better in all courses.
• Elective courses in the program require approval from the EDIN advisor and the director of the Center for Creativity and Innovation.
