Program Overview


This interdisciplinary program allows students to tailor their studies to their interests and career goals. Students choose a minor and design a concentration with the guidance of an advisor. The program includes required courses in various disciplines, as well as advanced standing electives and a capstone project. Graduates are prepared for careers in a wide range of fields.

  • IDS 300: Interdisciplinary Practice and Theory 1 (3 credits)
  • STEM-H Course (3 credits)
  • Behavioral and Social Science Course (3 credits)
  • Humanities Course (3 credits)
  • Arts Course (3 credits)
  • Major Requirements:
  • Professional Concentration students must choose at least one minor from the Professional Colleges or from the College of the Sciences and Mathematics.
  • Students work with advisors to integrate minors into Interdisciplinary concentrations, which may include additional minors.
  • Minor Courses/Self-Designed Concentration:
  • Students must select at least one minor and consult with an advisor to design a concentration focused on areas of interest or future goals.

  • Minor Courses/Upper-Level Electives:
  • Advanced Standing electives for a minimum of 30 credits.
  • (230 credits)
  • Electives:
  • Select electives to total 120 semester hours (includes credits taken to fulfill minor requirements).
