Program Overview
This program prepares registered nurses for registration as midwives in Australia. Students complete clinical placements at ECU's partner hospitals and provide continuity of care to at least ten women throughout their pregnancies. Graduates are eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, a requirement for employment as a midwife.
