The Master of Midwifery (Research) prepares students to become independent researchers with the ability to develop and implement a research proposal related to midwifery. The program is designed for students interested in research and those planning a career in research. It has been accredited by ECU as an AQF Level 9 Masters Degree (Research) Award.


Outline:


Year 1 Semester 1

  • Research Preparation: Principles and Approaches (20 credit points)
  • Literature Review (20 credit points)
  • Masters Thesis Preparation (120 credit points)

Year 1 Semester 2

  • Masters Thesis (Students are required to continue re-enrolling in the thesis component of their study until the thesis is submitted for examination.)
