Program Overview
The Master of Midwifery (Research) prepares students to become independent researchers in midwifery. The Master of Midwifery (Research) prepares students to become independent researchers with the ability to develop and implement a research proposal related to midwifery. The program is designed for students interested in research and those planning a career in research. It has been accredited by ECU as an AQF Level 9 Masters Degree (Research) Award.
Outline:
Year 1 Semester 1
- Research Preparation: Principles and Approaches (20 credit points)
- Literature Review (20 credit points)
- Masters Thesis Preparation (120 credit points)
Year 1 Semester 2
- Masters Thesis (Students are required to continue re-enrolling in the thesis component of their study until the thesis is submitted for examination.)
Year 2 Semester 1
