Program Outline

Degree Overview:

Objectives:

The Pre-Law Concentration program at Ohio Dominican University (ODU) aims to develop students into strong law school applicants who possess critical thinking and writing skills and have gained an understanding of the forces that shape human experience.

Description:

The program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the liberal arts while also honing the intellectual abilities and fostering the interests necessary for success in law school. It does not guarantee admission to law school or a high score on the LSAT. Students are encouraged to consult with a Pre-Law Advisor early on to develop strategies for preparing for law school. The program offers opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities that can contribute to students' preparation and introduce them to potential legal careers. Upon completion of the required courses, students earn a B.A. in Political Science or Philosophy with a Pre-Law Concentration, which is reflected on their transcripts.
