Outline:

• Preclinical Phase (1st-3rd year):
>Focuses on the fundamentals of human anatomy, organ systems, first aid, doctor-patient communication, and medical terminology. Students also delve into compulsory elective subjects like clinical anatomy, basics of biology/chemistry/physics, and the history of medicine.
• Clinical Phase (3rd-6th year):
>Involves the theoretical and practical study of clinical medicine, covering disease patterns of the human body. The range of subjects encompasses pathology, neurology, immunology, otolaryngology, emergency medicine, epidemiology, infectious diseases, family medicine, forensic medicine, dermatology, endocrinology, psychology, and sociology. Students can further specialize through specific compulsory elective subjects such as alternative medicine, allergology, gastrointestinal endoscopy, and neurosurgery. Clinical internships take place at UMCH teaching hospitals throughout Germany or in Targu Mures.
• Completion of Studies:
>Students complete their studies by submitting a thesis and passing a written medical final examination.
