Early Childhood Education (PK-4), Bachelor of Science in Education (BSED)

Program Overview

The Early Childhood Education (PK-4) Bachelor of Science in Education program at Slippery Rock University prepares students to teach children in grades Pre-K through 4. The program includes coursework in child development, early childhood education theory and practice, literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and special education. Students complete field experiences and student teaching to gain practical experience in the classroom. Graduates are eligible for Pennsylvania certification after passing the required state exams.
