Program Overview
The Night Rating program empowers certified pilots to fly at night under visual flight rules. Upon completion, graduates are qualified to fly at night under VFR, expanding their flying capabilities.

The Night Rating program is designed for certified pilots looking to expand their flying capabilities into the night skies. This specialized program is tailored to equip pilots with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely operate a Canadian registered airplane under night visual flight rules (Night-VFR), acting as pilot-in-command.
Assessment:
Evaluation methods are detailed in course outlines, focusing on practical assessments and demonstrations of competency. To complete the program, students must successfully perform a qualifying flight under the supervision of a Transport Canada Inspector or a qualified person as per subsection 425.21(4) of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), demonstrating the skills outlined in the Flight Instructor Guide-Aeroplane (TP 975).

Graduates of the Night Rating program are qualified to:
- Act as pilot-in-command of a Canadian registered airplane at night under VFR conditions.
