Program Overview
The Master's in Interventional Cardiology equips participants with theoretical and practical knowledge in interventional cardiology. Graduates can perform angioplasty, understand treatment indications, and are exposed to peripheral interventional techniques, direct myocardial revascularization, valvular heart disease, and obstructive hypertrophic myocardiopathies. The program emphasizes hands-on practice in the hemodynamics room and an experimental thesis.
Program Outline
Degree Overview:
Overview:
The second-level Master's course in Interventional Cardiology aims to provide participants with an adequate and up-to-date theoretical and practical preparation in the field of interventional cardiology. Graduates will be able to put correct indications of treatment in light of the progress of percutaneous and surgical revascularization techniques and perform simple and complex angioplasty as the first operator. Candidates will also be exposed to peripheral interventional techniques, direct myocardial revascularization, valvular heart disease, and obstructive hypertrophic myocardiopathies.
Objectives:
- Provide participants with an adequate and up-to-date theoretical and practical preparation in the field of interventional cardiology.
- Enable graduates to put correct indications of treatment in light of the progress of percutaneous and surgical revascularization techniques.
- Train graduates to perform simple and complex angioplasty as the first operator.
Teaching:
Teaching Methods:
The didactic result will be verified through the frequency and daily practice in the hemodynamics room and the preparation of an experimental thesis.
