Degree Overview:

This program is a four-year specialization in Digestive Diseases within the Medical School.

Objectives:

• Graduates will obtain theoretical, practical, and scientific knowledge in epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical aspects, and treatment of diseases and tumors of the digestive system, biliary tracts, and exocrine pancreas.
• Graduates will master endoscopic and instrumental diagnostic procedures of the digestive tract.

Year 1

• Gastroenterology and week surgery department (11 months)
• General Medicine and Advanced Care unit (1 month)

Year 2

• Digestive physiopathology (4 months)
• Diagnostic endoscopy (4 months)
• Specialized IBD clinic (4 months)

Year 3

• Digestive endoscopy (10 months)
• Abdominal ultrasound with intestinal tract examination (2 months)
• External training period
