The Master of Actuarial Studies at UNSW Business School equips students with the data analytics and quantitative risk management training necessary for an actuarial career or other related careers in finance. The program provides students with the skills to apply advanced analytical techniques, deliver highly valued data analytics, and generate actionable insights. Additionally, students develop a specialized quantitative skill set in actuarial models, financial mathematics, probability, machine learning/artificial intelligence analytics, and commerce. The program is accredited by the Actuaries Institute and includes courses and electives designed to prepare students for their future careers as business professionals. The program has also earned the University-Earned Credit (UEC) program status for Financial Mathematics (FM) exam and Statistics for Risk Modelling (SRM) exam. This UEC program facilitates the pathway for students pursuing the Society of Actuaries (SOA) profession by providing opportunities to earn credit for SOA exams.
