International Foundation Fast Track (M&S Sciences)

Program Overview

This program offers an International Foundation Year followed by a three-year Bachelor's degree at THUAS. Students develop knowledge and skills through coursework, elective modules, and an internship. Assessment includes coursework and examinations, while teaching methods encompass lectures, seminars, and group work. Graduates benefit from the Orientation Year Permit, allowing them to stay in the Netherlands for job search or business ventures.

• Stage 1: International Foundation
This stage includes the following modules:

• Math for Business & Social Studies
• Management & Organisation
• Communication
• Study Success
• Global Citizenship & Sustainability
• Stage 2: First Year Degree
Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, students may enter an English-taught Bachelors programme at THUAS in their chosen degree.
• Stages 3 and 4: Second and Third Year Degree
In Stages 3 and 4, students continue to gain knowledge and practical skills through coursework and elective modules in order to successfully complete their degree. Students are encouraged to apply their knowledge during a semester-long internship at an international company in the Netherlands or abroad.

Assessment:

Assessment is via individual coursework (oral and written presentation) and examinations. Students are encouraged to undertake independent study to supplement what is being taught/learnt and to broaden their personal knowledge.

Teaching:

Teaching is delivered via a combination of lectures, seminars, and project-based group work (oral and written presentation).

Careers:

The Netherlands and The Hague are great places to kick-start a career after completing the degree.

• The Orientation Year (Zoekjaar) Permit allows recent graduates from non-EU countries to stay in or come back to the Netherlands for a period of up to 12 months.
• During this one-year period, graduates can work in any type of job while searching for a permanent role or starting a business.
