This program, co-created with Deloitte, combines industry-relevant coursework in network design, security, and virtualization with paid work experience. Students complete 20 units, including core units in cybersecurity awareness, project management, and ethics, and elective units tailored to their career goals. The program prepares graduates for careers in network and system administration, security, and consulting.

Program Structure:

  • Students are required to complete 20 units, including 6 core units and 14 elective units.

Core Units:

  • Originate and develop concepts
  • Promote workplace cyber security awareness and best practices
  • Lead and facilitate a team
  • Match ICT needs with the strategic direction of the organisation
  • Apply IP, ethics and privacy in ICT environments
  • Manage client problems

Elective Units:

  • Gather, analyse and interpret threat data
  • Protect critical infrastructure for organisations
  • Utilise design methodologies for security architecture
  • Install and manage complex ICT networks
  • Plan, implement and test enterprise communication solutions
  • Design, build and test network servers
  • Configure, verify and troubleshoot WAN links and IP services
  • Install, operate and troubleshoot medium enterprise routers
  • Design and implement a security perimeter for ICT networks
  • Manage network security
  • Configure and manage advanced virtual computing environments
  • Install an enterprise virtual computing environment

Teaching:

  • The program is co-created by industry and delivered in partnership with Deloitte.
  • Students will have ongoing paid work with Deloitte or an industry or government sector partner.
  • Students will receive coaching, mentoring, and training in soft skills, ethics, and leadership capabilities.
