Program Overview
The RN to B.S.N./MSN-LAN program prepares registered nurses for leadership roles in nursing administration. Students complete the B.S.N. within three years and the MSN-LAN within five additional years. The program's coursework focuses on nursing issues related to leadership, delegation, and nursing care processes. Graduates are equipped to lead and manage nursing teams effectively.

Students have 3 years to complete the degree requirements for the RN to B.S.N. program and 5 additional years to complete the MSN-LAN degree requirements.
Careers:
All courses in the M.S.N.-LAN program are specifically designed to address nursing issues where RN nursing service administrators lead and delegate nursing care and processes to other nurses.

Housing services
Housing at Texas State is unique because students choose which hall they would like to live in, so students can choose any available space in the halls. We offer a variety of living options to accommodate the diverse needs of our resident population. While styles range from traditional to apartment style, the Department of Housing and Residential life believes a traditional hall is the best for first-year students. These halls create a strong sense of community and students living in traditional halls tend to do better academically and socially.Housing is first-come, first served so make sure to sign a contract as soon as possible.

Operating within the Division of Information Technology, Technology Resources provides secure, robust and cost-effective information technologies to Texas State University. We deliver secure telephone, computing, and Internet access as well as provide customer-focused technical support and training to assure optimal use of information technology.
Medical services
Texas State international students are required to obtain coverage under the designated international student health insurance policy or present acceptable proof of other comparable and adequate health insurance coverage to the Student Health Center. The Student Health Center is now offering a new Travel Health Service for all Texas State students, faculty and staff.
Student Life
Campus life
Located about 20 miles outside of San Marcos in Wimberley, Texas, the University Camp is a 126-acre hideaway on the scenic Blanco River boasting two lodges, six campsites, four day-use sites, and several miles of hiking/biking trails. The University Camp is also home to the Texas State GOAL Challenge Course Program. The 3.5 mile trail system courses throughout the property and provides many scenic and nature study opportunities. Mountain biking is a popular trail activity, and portions of the trail are suitable only for experienced riders. The trail is great for family hikes and nature viewing.Swimming, wading, snorkeling, and fishing are excellent in the clear pools above and below the falls.
Sports facilities
The Bobcat Club is the principal fundraising arm of the Texas State Intercollegiate Athletics Department. The Bobcat Club has provided a way for supporters to help talented Texas State student-athletes receive a top-tier education while pursuing their goals both on and off the field of competition. The Department of Campus Recreation will be recognized as a leader in recreation and leisure services.

Entry Requirements:
Application for admission to the registered nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing online completion program (RN to B.S.N.) must be made to the St. David's School of Nursing in addition to the university admission procedures. The application deadline is April 15th with students admitted each fall. Admission to the RN to B.S.N. online completion program requires admission to the university and admission to the program. For more information visit: http://www.nursing.txstate.edu/ Students must hold a current, valid unencumbered R.N. license or multi-state privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the state(s) in which the student will complete practicum courses. The license must be printed from the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) website. All applicants must have a nursing school GPA of 2.5 and an overall GPA of 2.5 to apply. Completion of 42 hours of general education core curriculum requirements, including the following major-specific core requirements or field of study coursework: PSY 1300 or SOCI 1310 MATH 1315 CHEM 1341 Completion of 18 hours of support or field of study coursework: BIO 2400 or BIO 2440 BIO 2451 BIO 2452 NUTR 2360 PSY 3300 or HDFS 1351 Students who earned an Associate in Applied Science major in Nursing degree (ADN) from a regionally accredited community college will be awarded 30 semester credit hours of Nursing coursework toward the B.S.N. online completion. Any student who did not complete at least two years of the same foreign language in high school is required to take 6-8 hours of the same foreign language.
