The Master of Teaching (Secondary) program prepares pre-service teachers with professional education studies, discipline-specific curriculum, and pedagogical studies to equip them with advanced research skills and a competitive edge in the teaching job market. The program includes:
- Courses on contemporary educational issues and social contexts.
- Development of understandings of adolescent behavior, learning, and motivation.
- Practical experience and support for student well-being and positive student-teacher relationships.
- Training on teaching discipline-specific content to secondary students in schools.
- Three full-time supervised teaching blocks of 70 days in South Australian schools.
- Completion of a practice-based research project.
