The Theater Department at Campbellsville University provides education in both theory and practice of theater performance and production. Students can pursue a minor in theater, which allows for a broad study of theater practices, or major in theater with a concentration in either performance or production. The department's mission is to equip students for both personal and professional success in theater through the pursuit of the following objectives:

- Provide a nurturing learning environment for students to engage in theater arts The Theater major requires 26 hours of core courses and an emphasis in either performance or production, each requiring an additional 16 hours of coursework. Students seeking a Bachelor of Arts degree must also complete twelve hours of foreign language study.
