Studio Practice Emphasis BFA, Studio Practice Emphasis: The Studio Art program at UMSL encourages students to research essential cultural and professional systems through the imaginative visual practice. The structure of the program is as follows:
- Foundation and Core Art Program: This program is largely met through the A.F.A. degree.
- Emphasis area: This area can be in art education, graphic design, or general fine arts studio practice. Studio Art students must complete 69 hours in studio art and 12 hours in Art History. The remaining 30 hours must be taken at UMSL.
