- This introductory course delves into the multifaceted aspects of aging in the United States, examining the evolving landscape of aging, societal perceptions and stereotypes surrounding older adults, and the implications of demographic shifts.
- Elective Courses:
- Students must fulfill at least 9 credit hours of electives in GERON courses.
- At least two of these electives must be at the 3000-level or above. Substitutions or alternative courses may be considered with the approval of the Program Coordinator for Gerontology.
- Students seeking to designate a capstone experience for the BLS (Bachelor of Liberal Studies) program should coordinate with the Program Coordinator prior to enrolling in a 4000-level course.
