Degree Overview:

Doane's Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) is a comprehensive online, 30-credit hour program that prepares students for careers in designing effective, innovative, and accessible instruction (online, distance, and classroom) within business and education. The program focuses on instructional design that addresses the needs of learners in an engaging, human-centered, and goal-oriented experience, aligning learning tasks, resources, and systems of support to create learning solutions. At the forefront is consideration of the user experience and the science of learning. Students will gain a deep understanding of the principles and practices of instructional design as well as the technological tools and techniques needed to create accessible, cutting-edge learning experiences. Students enrolled in Doane's IDT program will become part of a supportive community of reflective practitioners who share a passion for innovation and lifelong learning.
