Program Overview
The Human Services program prepares graduates for careers in community and social service, which are projected to grow significantly in the coming years. Graduates are equipped to work as substance abuse/mental health counselors, case management aides, school and career counselors, social workers, rehabilitation counselors, human resources specialists, community service managers, and childcare workers. The program's curriculum focuses on providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in these in-demand fields.

- Community and Social Service jobs are expected to grow by 12% between 20019 and 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations. Jobs for social workers are expected to grow 13% during this time, as well. This is due in large part to the aging population and increased demand for mental health and substance abuse treatment. Community Service Manager positions are also expected to grow 17% in the next decade, along with commanding an above-average median salary of $67,150.
