Program Overview
This cabinet-making apprenticeship program prepares individuals for careers in the furniture and cabinetry industry. Upon completion, apprentices are eligible for industry registration and can pursue roles such as cabinet maker, installer, or furniture maker. The program covers topics related to timber and composite furniture creation, kitchen and bathroom renovation, and built-in cabinet installation.

Following your cabinet-making apprenticeship, you will be ready to get registered for industry and pursue a career in: timber and composite furniture creation kitchen and bathroom renovation built-in cabinet installation production operations. Job titles include: cabinet maker and installer furniture maker.

Entry requirements
All applicants must complete the following to determine suitability for admission:- complete a Pre-training Review (PTR); and- must undertake a literacy and numeracy assessment.Local admission requirements for Apprenticeship applicants:- must have an active employer - must have an active Epsilon number prior to commencing the courseWhere the apprentice is under the age of 18, an employer sign-off may be required.
