Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician Course Structure The course structure comprises the following core and elective units. These electives have been selected based on industry needs, graduate pathways and/or student and teacher feedback. To be awarded the UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, a student must successfully complete a total of One thousand, one hundred and ten (1,110) weighting points, comprising of: Nine hundred and Ninety (990) Core weighting points, and; One hundred and twenty (120) Elective weighting points. Note: Elective units are to be selected from the Group A general elective units, or up to 40 general elective weighting points, may be selected, with appropriate contextualisation, from any relevant nationally endorsed Training Package or accredited course, provided that selected units contribute to the vocational outcome of the qualification. Electives must be industry relevant as well as be approved by the Polytechnic.

Entry Requirements:
Applicants for this course will need to meet the entry criteria outlined below. If you don’t meet the entry criteria, you may be able to gain entry by first completing a different course. We call this a ‘pathway’. You may also be eligible for ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’, which lets you finish your course more quickly when you have gained some of the skills required from past study or work experience.

As part of the admission process all applicants are required to: complete a Pre-training Review (PTR) complete a literacy and numeracy (LN) assessment must be employed and with an active employer must have an active Epsilon number prior to commencing the course Some courses receive more applications than the number of places available.
