Alcohol and Drug Studies Certificate of Achievement
Program Overview
The Certificate of Achievement in Alcohol and Drug Studies at COD provides students with a comprehensive understanding of substance abuse and its treatment. The program includes coursework in counseling, pharmacology, case management, and prevention, as well as supervised practicum and internship experiences. Graduates are prepared for careers as supervised chemical dependency counselors.

- HSAD 095B Alcohol and Drug Work Experience (Maximum of 4 units may be used for work experience.) (2 units)
Assessment:
A minimum grade of "C" must be earned in all courses for the certificate. In addition, students will be required to have 75% attendance in order to apply the courses toward CCAPP certification.
Careers:
Past recipients of the COD Certificate of Achievement in Alcohol and Drug Studies have obtained positions as supervised chemical dependency counselors, locally and throughout California.
