Program Overview
The Master of Leadership and Management (Policing and Security) from Charles Sturt University prepares graduates for advanced roles in law enforcement, security, and international policing. The program offers three pathways: executive leadership and international policing, research paper development, or work-based project design. Graduates will develop high-level leadership skills and be equipped to analyze and meet the challenges of contemporary leadership. Commonwealth supported places are available, offering reduced fees and HECS-HELP loan eligibility.

The Master of Leadership and Management (Policing and Security) from Charles Sturt University prepares graduates for advanced roles in law enforcement, security, and international policing through the development of high-level leadership skills. Graduates will be equipped to analyze the challenges of contemporary leadership and equipped with the skills to meet them. The program offers three pathways to suit individual requirements:
- A focus on executive leadership and international policing
- Development of a dedicated research paper
- Design and development of a work-based project. This course has a limited number of Commonwealth supported places (CSP) available. If you secure a CSP your fees are lower than a full fee-paying place. It also means you can apply for a HECS-HELP loan to pay for your studies and defer repayment until you earn above a certain amount.

Entry requirements:
Applicants for admission to the Master of Leadership and Management (Policing and Security) degree:
- hold an undergraduate degree in a related area, or have qualified for an equivalent award
- OR
- have completed the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Management (Policing and Security) or subjects deemed equivalent by the Course Director. Applicants for admission to the Executive Masters in International Police Leadership:
- hold an undergraduate degree in a related area, or have qualified for an equivalent award
- OR
- have completed the requirements of the Canadian Police College Executive Development Program, or equivalent program as approved by the Course Director. Additionally, a number of police jurisdictions have credit arrangements with the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security, and prospective applicants should discuss these with the Course Director.
