Program Overview
The Master of Agriculture program provides a comprehensive foundation in agriculture, preparing graduates for diverse leadership roles in the field. With a focus on practical skills and industry knowledge, the program equips students for careers in agribusiness, agricultural consulting, extension services, and natural resource management, both in Australia and internationally.

Careers:
There are four jobs in agriculture for every graduate - and 40 per cent of those roles are in cities. So the comprehensive foundation of knowledge and skills you gain in the Master of Agriculture (with specialisations) will provide diverse career opportunities, in Australia and overseas. Prepare for a range of leadership roles in agriculture, including agribusiness manager, agricultural consultant, agricultural extension officer, Landcare officer, and precision extension officer. You could move into advisory, policy or advocacy roles. Work in catchment management, agricultural education and training, executive management, rural counselling, agricultural consultancy, agricultural finance and natural resource management.
Entry requirements:
- A completed Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline related to Agricultural Science or Agribusiness from a University or other tertiary education provider.
- OR
- A completed Graduate Certificate in Agriculture from a University or other tertiary education provider (or equivalent).
- OR
- A completed Graduate Diploma in Agriculture from a University or other tertiary education provider (or equivalent)
- OR
- Relevant Industry experience from the agricultural/business sector of at least 3 years or equivalent knowledge gained through alternate means
