Program Overview

This program provides a foundation in natural resources management, covering topics such as conservation, wildlife management, ecosystem management, and GIS. Students can choose from a variety of elective courses to tailor their studies to their interests. The program prepares students for careers in natural resources management, including roles as docents, volunteers, park rangers, and environmental educators.

• NR 001L Conservation of Natural Resources Lab (1 unit)
• NR 003 Introduction to Wildlife Management (3 units) or NR 004 Introduction to Ecosystem Management (3 units)
• NR 020 GPS and Map Use (1 unit)
• NR 021 Introduction to GIS (3 units)

Group A (3 units)

• Choose 3 units from the following courses (cannot repeat from above):
• AGPS 002 Entomology - General & Applied (4 units)
• NR 003 Introduction to Wildlife Management (3 units)
• NR 004 Introduction to Ecosystem Management (3 units)
• NR 017 Natural Resources Law Enforcement (3 units)
