The Alternative Route Certification: School District Leader (Transitional D) program at Mercy University is designed for exceptionally qualified individuals with leadership experience who seek employment requiring school district leadership certification. Candidates must hold a graduate or professional degree and possess the nine essential characteristics of effective leaders demonstrated through exemplary prior service in leadership positions for at least three years. Upon program completion, candidates are eligible for recommendation for School District Leader professional certification.
