Program Overview
The Early Childhood Education: Preschool embedded technical diploma at Madison College equips students with the skills to teach children ages 3-5 in early childhood settings.

The Early Childhood Education: Preschool embedded technical diploma at Madison College prepares students with the skills needed to work as a teacher with children ages 3 - 5 years in early childhood settings. Research demonstrates that the best predictor of quality childcare is a teacher's level of education. Upon admission to the program, students will complete a background and criminal history check form and submit it to the program director.

- 10-307-175 ECE: Preschool Practicum (3 credits) Travel to fieldwork sites is necessary and the responsibility of the student. Some courses in the program involve preparation of learning materials, field trips, etc.

Admission Application: Applicants can submit their applications online, allowing them to save and resume their work during the process. This ensures prompt and secure delivery to the admissions office. Education Completion:
- Official transcripts must be obtained from all institutions attended and should indicate one of the following: a) High school diploma (Current high school seniors may submit an in-progress transcript) b) GED/HSED transcript c) College transcript(s) displaying:
- Completion of an associate degree or higher.
- At least 30 credits completed with a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4-point scale. The credits must be completed at a single college and cannot be combined with other transcripts.
- Any transfer credit listed on a transcript will not count toward the 30-credit minimum.
