Graduates of Fanshawe’s Plumbing Apprentice program will have the skills to pursue careers serving a variety of fields, including residential, commercial and industrial construction, maintenance departments, plumbing wholesalers, consulting firms, plumbing retailers or municipalities. Graduates with an entrepreneurial spirit may choose to open their own business. Here are some examples of career opportunities for graduates of Fanshawe’s Plumbing Apprentice (Block Release) [Apprenticeship] program:
- Journeyman Plumber: Evaluate customer needs, create estimates and install and maintain water systems under the guidance of a master plumber.
- Residential Plumber: Specialize in residential new builds, remodels, additions and service.
- Plumber: Install and repair water supply lines, drainage systems and plumbing fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
