The Mechanical Engineering Technician - Tool and Die (Co-op) program is a two-year Ontario College Diploma designed to prepare students to work in a modern tooling shop, with emphasis on conventional machining skills to create a solid foundation of knowledge. Courses within the program are aligned with the Level One curriculum standards of the Precision Metal Cutting – Common Core Apprenticeship program, creating potential for graduates to be successful in writing exemption exams once they are a registered apprentice. The students will also have the opportunity to participate in two paid co-op placements which will create opportunities to further learn and apply their new skills.
