About Program

Program Overview

The Environmental Studies certificate program offers flexibility in course selection, combining environmental studies with subjects like geography, geology, and sociology. Delivered both in-class and online, it prepares students for entry-level environmental jobs or further education. The program starts annually in September, with transfer agreements to Canadian universities.

Program Outline

Outline:

The Environmental Studies certificate is designed to allow you a degree of autonomy in your course selection. You will take a specific number of courses that deal with the environment along with options from a variety of subjects including geography, geology, anthropology and sociology. This program is delivered in the classroom although a number of courses are also available online. Completion of the certificate may help you find employment in entry-level jobs or to move into further education to become more specialized. We have transfer agreements with a number of Canadian universities. We recommend working with an Education Advisor when choosing courses for future transfer. This program starts in September each year. Part-time students applying in the Spring semester should select University General Studies as their program when applying.

Careers:

Prepares you for rewarding work focused on improving the health of our environment. A well-rounded program lets you explore an environmental focus while also learning about other disciplines. Opens the door to further educational opportunities.
