The Associate of Arts Degree in Intercultural and International Studies prepares students for careers in international relations, diplomatic relations, or foreign affairs. The program provides a foundation in global issues, critical thinking, writing, research, and presentation skills. Students also study a second language.
Objectives:
- To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of global issues and the skills necessary to communicate in an international context.

Outline:
Year 1
- Fall semester: Foundations of Intercultural Communication, Introduction to International Studies, and two courses from List E (Social Sciences electives)
- Spring semester: Intercultural Communication in the Workplace, one course from List B (Intercultural Communication electives), and two courses from List E (Social Sciences electives)
Year 2
- Fall semester: Two consecutive levels of one language (List D), one course from List C (History electives), and two courses from List E (Social Sciences electives)
- Spring semester: Two consecutive levels of one language (List D), one course from List C (History electives), and two courses from List E (Social Sciences electives)
