Program Description:

  • Students study equal parts health sciences and arts, ensuring a well-developed skill set in both disciplines.
  • They can choose from a range of majors, including strategic advertising, criminology, disability and inclusion, education, family, society and health, food studies, health promotion, international relations, sport journalism, media and communication, physical activity and health, politics and policy studies, public health, sociology, sport and society.
  • Students select either the Global Challenges sequence or the Employability sequence to develop the required skills for their dream career.
  • The Global Challenges sequence focuses on approaching, understanding, and responding to large-scale challenges, advancing creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • The Employability sequence provides real-life experience during the course, developing skills for the workplace and demonstrating how to translate course skills into a successful career.
  • Students can pursue work-integrated learning experiences and industry practicums, including the Health practicum offered in the health promotion major, providing 120 hours of work experience in a health-related organization.
  • They may also have the opportunity to experience different cultures through in-country and virtual global experiences.

  • 32 credit points total
  • 16 credit points from the Faculty of Health, including 6 compulsory core units, one major sequence (6 credit points), and one minor sequence (4 credit points)
  • 16 credit points from the Faculty of Arts, comprising core units in either the Global Challenge sequence (3 credit points) or Employability sequence (3 credit points), plus one major sequence (8 credit points)
