Principal Certification Preparation
Program Overview
ESU's accelerated online principal certification program prepares aspiring leaders for school leadership roles in just one year. The 27-credit program features a cohort model, experienced faculty, and a blend of eight-week courses and a principal internship. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of leadership, curriculum, finance, data, and organizational management through distance learning via LMS and video conferencing.

ESU is proud to announce its new, one-year online accelerated principal certification preparation program. This is a 27-credit program where students take three three-credit courses per semester, including two eight-week courses and enrollment in a principal internship for three semesters.

Teaching:
- The program follows a cohort model, allowing students to advance their skills in a supportive community of Warriors that will drive them to succeed.
- ESU professors have real-world educational leadership experience as school superintendents, assistant superintendents, principals, curriculum supervisors, and most administrative roles.

Entry Requirements:
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university with a 3.0 or better G.P.A.
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Satisfy the requirements set forth in section 24 P.S. S 12-1209 relating to good moral character
- Provide verification of at least two years of professional experience in an educational setting that is directly related to the educational process and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
