Degree Overview:

The Medical Technology (B.S.) program, also known as Clinical Laboratory Science, prepares students in fundamental and clinical laboratory sciences for careers in diagnostic laboratories. The Medical Technologist uses state-of-the-art technology to perform analysis of patient samples (blood and other materials) that are useful in detecting and/or treating diseases. Graduates of this program have a firm foundation enabling them to pursue graduate study for many advanced or alternative career paths.


Teaching:

ESU's Medical Technology students will learn to use state-of-the-art technology and laboratory procedures to analyze patient blood samples and other tissues to detect and treat cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and other medical conditions.


Careers:

ESU's Medical Technology program prepares students in fundamental and clinical laboratory sciences for careers in diagnostic laboratories. Our Medical Technology graduates have excellent job placement opportunities, and they work in physician offices, clinics, hospitals, and diagnostic centers.
