Program Outline
Degree Overview:
Overview:
Geography provides insights into the Earth as the human habitat, exploring the physical and cultural landscapes and their interactions. It adopts fundamental concepts such as cultural appraisal, regionalism, areal coherence, human ecology, spatial interaction, landscape study, and the concept of change to comprehend the environment. Geographers examine the processes shaping the Earth's surface and the cultural landscapes, including population patterns, cultural origins, and the spread of cultural features. They investigate how humans alter the environment and how the physical environment affects populations and cultures.
Objectives:
- To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Earth's physical and cultural landscapes
- To foster critical thinking and analytical skills for understanding geographical phenomena
- To equip students with the knowledge and skills to pursue careers in geography and related fields
