Program Prerequisite

  • NO previous CAD experience necessary.
  • However, drafting, design or engineering experience is a plus.
  • A working knowledge of Windows based operating systems is preferred.

Objective

The primary objective of this course is to teach students the basic commands necessary for professional 2D drawing, design, and drafting using AutoCAD. After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • use the precision drafting tools in AutoCAD to develop accurate technical drawings
  • present drawings in a detailed and visually impressive manner.

Prerequisite

This course is designed for the new AutoCAD user. It is recommended that students have a working knowledge of drafting, design, or engineering.
