Students will learn to create and edit 2D drawings, utilize precision drafting tools, and organize their work using layers. The advanced course delves into 3D design, enabling students to view and design in three dimensions.

Program Prerequisite
- NO previous CAD experience necessary. However, drafting, design or engineering experience is a plus.
- A working knowledge of Windows based operating systems is preferred.

BASIC AutoCAD
Objective
The primary objective of this course is to teach students the basic commands necessary for professional 2D drawing, design, and drafting using AutoCAD. After completing this course, students will be able to:
- navigate the AutoCAD user interface,
- use the fundamental features of AutoCAD,
- use the precision drafting tools in AutoCAD to develop accurate technical drawings
- present drawings in a detailed and visually impressive manner.
Prerequisite
This course is designed for the new AutoCAD user. It is recommended that students have a working knowledge of drafting, design, or engineering.
