The Women & Gender Studies Minor at Weber State University is an interdisciplinary program that offers perspectives on the formation of gender and its intersections with other relations of power. The program addresses questions within the context of a transnational world and from various disciplines, including history, literature, sociology, communication, psychology, criminal justice, social work, political sciences, and cultural studies.

Required Courses (12 credit hours):
- WGS 1500 SS/EDI - Introduction to Women, Gender, and Queer Studies (3 credits)
- WGS 2500 SS/EDI/GLB - Human Rights in the World (3 credits)
- WGS 3050 - Introduction to Feminist Theories 1700 – Present (3 credits)
- WGS 4150 - Research Methodologies (3 credits) or WGS 4250 INT - Community-Based Research/Internship (3 credits)
Electives (6 credit hours):
Students choose 6 credit hours of electives in consultation with the Women and Gender Studies Coordinator. Electives may include up to 3 credit hours of Directed Readings.

Assessment:
A grade of "C" or better is required for all courses used toward the minor (a grade of "C-" is not acceptable).
