Environmental Remediation and Management, M.S.
Program Overview

The Environmental Remediation and Management program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to understand and solve environmental contamination problems. By understanding the nature, source, and mobility of environmental contaminants, graduates can identify the regulatory requirements pertinent to the assessment, investigation, and remediation of environmental contamination. Additionally, students will be able to create reports for the assessment, investigation, and closure of environmentally contaminated sites. The program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in environmental soil and groundwater sampling, preparing samples for analysis, and interpreting analytical data. - A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Applicants with GPAs below 3.0 may be considered for admission under special circumstances, and they must provide GRE scores.
- For those who have GPAs at 3.0 or above, GRE scores are not required for admission to the MS in Environmental Remediation and Management.
