The Wisconsin MBA in Business: Supply Chain Management, powered by the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management, provides enrollees with a customized, industry-focused program that works alongside firms famed for supply chain excellence. The curriculum offers students with an extraordinary, interdisciplinary education that builds upon foundational knowledge and comprises the most recent advancements in supply chain thinking. The cross-functional, strategic program takes an incorporated business procedure viewpoint of supply chains, incorporating elements such as marketing, sourcing, operations, logistics, and customer care. Students connect and acquire knowledge from genuine supply chain leaders and are embedded within a strong, tight-knit cohort.


Program Objectives:

Upon successful completion of the Business: Supply Chain Management program, graduates should be able to:

  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies, evaluating their financial, marketing, and operational implications.
  • Apply foundational knowledge in operations, marketing, and other fundamental business disciplines to inform decision-making across the critical dimensions of supply chain management, including planning, sourcing, making, and delivering products.
  • Through participation in various practical activities, students will develop the ability to make supply chain decisions in real-world settings.
  • Identify relevant data sources, understand how to access this data, and analyze it using statistical and optimization techniques to inform supply chain decision-making.
  • Recognize and evaluate the opportunities and risks associated with global sources of supply and international markets for products.
